The MSMS class of 2013 welcomes you to join us in the wonderful world of microbiology, where you will begin to question the sterility of everything you touch and eat. We are having a wonderful time learning about the various microorganisms that surround us and are starting to get ready for the upcoming final exam to finish off our science classes for the academic year.
This month, the students have been getting valuable exposure to their respective professions and a taste of standardized patient encounters. Pre-dental students have begun to shadow other dental students in the PCC while pre-DO students are slowly starting their respective rotations with various osteopathic and podiatric physicians.
Congratulations to the pre-dental students on all gaining acceptance into WesternU College of Dental Medicine!

For pre-DO students, the day they have worked hard all year long for is inching closer. Students have been notified of their respective WesternU interview dates for February. Given the colorful personalities and amazing individuals that make up the MSMS class of 2013, there is no doubt that they will succeed.
Although our heads are frequently buried in the books, we have not forgotten about our community. Various MSMS students have graciously volunteered their time and minds to help the students of the Pomona Unified School District develop their science fair projects which will be on display at the 4th Annual Sarah Ross Science Fair on March 2, 2013. Some also volunteered to teach at January’s Pipeline to Healthcare Careers event on campus, where the theme was emergency medicine.
Stay tuned for another update from the MSMS class of 2013!
