Positive Behavior Intervention Supports is a universal district framework modeled by all staff to teach appropriate school behaviors to students.  Research indicates PBIS will decrease discipline problems, increase classroom instructional time, and improve school climate.  Student behavior data is collected to determine the effectiveness of the program and make future decisions about systems change.

This is how we do it ...

  • Identify the expectations - Be Respectful, Be Productive, Be Responsible, Be Safe
  • Teach, model, and re-teach what the behavior looks like for each expectation
  • Acknowledge progress, instead of focusing on mistakes
