Here is a link to the October Crier.  Delivery is delayed and should be completed over the weekend.  There are many events upcoming in October so be sure and save the calendar.  One of the biggest messages that needs spreading: No recycling, yard waste or heavy trash pickup(except flood debris) will be happening until further notice. September Crier

posted Sep 8, 2017, 11:16 AM by Westbury Civic Club President

Here is a link to the September Crier.  It was written and sent to the printer prior to Hurricane Harvey.  There are a few things that have obviously changed:   Heavy Trash pickup nor recycling will not occur due to flood debris pickup.  The Sept 19th meeting about Flooding may or may not still take place.  The annual meeting for the WCC will definitely take place on September 27th.  Look for announcements on our Facebook page for other possible cancellations or changes.

I have to express my thanks to the hundreds of Westbury residents who came out to assist their neighbors in the portion of Westbury that flooded and my heartfelt condolences to those who found water in their homes.   Many of them for a second time.  The good news is that the two homes in Westbury that raised their foundations were spared.   The WCC continues to work closely with all the entities responsible for flood control as we continue to need  REAL solutions for those that flood.
