Guidelines for Submission of Narrative or Flyers
All narrative and flyers must meet the District's guidelines for inclusion.  The guidelines provide that items must be directly related to school- or Town-based community events.  The Wellesley Public Schools is not responsible for any misprints and/or misinformation contained within a flyer, or any flyer(s) that do not get posted to the webpage.  The Wellesley Public Schools will do its best to accommodate all posting requests in a timely manner. and will typically post items on Fridays.  No new flyers will be posted during the summer, the first week of school, school vacations or the last full week of school.  Narrative and/or flyers should be submitted for approval to Addie Doherty at dohertya@wellesleyps.org.

2017-10-21 8:00 am - 1:00 pm World of Wellesley Annual Diversity Summit World of Wellesley's annual diversity summits provide an opportunity for community leaders, neighbors, educators, students, and parents to collectively learn, discuss, and celebrate diversity. This years' summit will focus on the local, national and global impact of diversity issues. Click here to register 
2017-10-28 10 am - 2 pm Upham School Sports Carnival Bring your gently used sports gear and buy some new-to-you treasures! Sports goods can be dropped off at Upham during drop-off or pick-up from Monday, Oct 23rd to Friday, Oct 27th or on the day of the carnival Click here for additional info 
2017-11-02 7 pm Sprague School Gym WEF 28th Annual Spelling Bee The Wellesley Education Foundation is buzzing away preparing for the Spelling Bee — which is an old school community spelling bee which brings the whole town together for an evening of fun and fundraising. Over 50 teams participate in the Bee and represent local businesses, law firms, alumni groups, community organizations, and school PTOs, as well as student teams from Wellesley High School and Wellesley Middle School. Support the Bee -- Go to www.wellesleyeducationfoundation.org to make a donation or sponsor a high school, middle school or community team. Many levels are available for sponsorship from $125 to $2500. The Bee is our biggest fundraiser of the year!  Any amount is appreciated. Click here to register your team 
2017-11-04 5:00 - 7:00 pm Fall Festival at Olin College - Olin College's Engineering Discovery We are a student-run organization that creates and teaches engaging STEM curriculum to local students. We are holding a fundraiser on Saturday, November 4th. Students from 2nd to 5th grade will have the opportunity to work through an escape room and participate in other engineering-related activities. Click here for flyer 
2017-11-09 1:00 - 2:00 pm School Committee Office Hours at the Wellesley Town Hall - Felix R Juliani Room The Wellesley School Committee is pleased to continue to schedule "office hours” which provide the community an opportunity for engagement with one or two members of the Committee on a monthly basis. The first session this fall will be on September 14th, from 9 am to 10 am., in the Arnold Room of the Wellesley Free Library. The Committee plans to hold office hours on a monthly basis alternating between daytime and evening hours. Any community members who wish to engage with the Committee but cannot attend office hours are encouraged to participate in Citizen Speak at a future meeting, or email us at school_committee@wellesleyps.org.  
2017 - September & October Wellesley Service League's Annual Toy Drive Now is a great time to clean out those toys your kids have outgrown or aren’t playing with anymore and donate them to the Toy Drive. We accept new and nearly new toys, books, puzzles, bikes and sporting equipment. Look for the Wellesley Service League toy collection boxes during September and October at all the Wellesley schools and at the Wellesley Free Library. If your item is very large or it is more convenient you can drop it off in the basement of the Wellesley Friendly Aid building.
