Every student and staff member in the Weld RE-5J School District has a district gmail account that ends in @weldre5j.org.

The benefits of a student having this account is that they can only email students and staff contained within the weldre5j.org domain, therefore the account is safe and can be quickly monitored.

Students can access their email account anywhere they have internet by simply going to the website, gmail.com and logging in with their account and password.

In order to add the @weldre5j.org account to the default mail app on the iPad, please follow these directions:
  1. Settings
  2. Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Add Account
  4. Exchange
  5. Type the email address and password
  6. Next (top right corner)
  7. It will then verify
  8. Server = m.google.com
  9. Domain = leave blank
  10. Type in the username and password
  11. Done (top right corner)
  12. The account will then be added to the default mail app on the iPad

Google Drive is a great tool that works with a gmail account that allows students to create and share documents.  Not only can documents be created in Google Drive, it also allows for students to store files in the cloud that can be accessed anywhere at any time as long as there is a connection to the internet.  Google Drive can be accessed at drive.google.com and students can log-in with their weldre5j.org account.
