Welcome to the magic of high school mathematics! I'm Dixie Preston, your math teacher.

The best way to contact me is via school email... dixie.preston@weldre4.k12.co.us
Open the door to EVERY possibility... learn higher level mathematics!

You will find a wealth of resources for your class on this website. I post almost everything we do in class on here, so if you ever miss a day or leave something at home, you won't be left behind. You can see the assignments for the day on the calendar under your course or go directly to the chapter if you know what you need already... notes, worksheets, keys, etc.

In an effort to cut down on paper waste, I will only be making ONE copy per student. If you misplace or ruin your copy you must come to this site to reprint the materials. If you don't have a printer at home or if you have printer problems please be resourceful and use the school library or computer labs.  If these two methods fail, come by my room to talk to me.

If you have any trouble with anything on my page, let me know. I won't know there's a problem, unless someone tells me!

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, and I hope you have a great year!

2015-2016 Schedules

These are some schedules, other than the classroom calendars, that could help you throughout the school year.
About me...

I am excited to be back at WHS and to be beginning a new school year.  Although I have been teaching for 21 years, this is only my 14th year of teaching at WHS.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 1994. Yes, I'm that old! I have been known to call a student by their older siblings' names.  Rest assured, I will not call you by your parents' names!  I'm not that old. Lol!

My two children and I live in Windsor.  We love the people, community, and schools.  In May 2014, my daughter graduated from WHS and is attending UNC this fall to become an elementary teacher.  You may know my son.  He is currently a sophomore at WHS! I love teaching at the same school that my children attend(ed).  However, I'm not sure they would agree!
