Welcome to Mrs. Garcia's 3rd Grade
School News and Important Information!

Wow, I can’t believe September over.  We are ready to move on to October.  With the cooler mornings and unpredictable weather, please make sure your student is dress for cooler weather.  This week we looked at verb tenses.  This can be a difficult concept.  They did pretty good though! We also looked at our comprehension skills of check for understanding and asking questions before and during reading.  In technology we continued to explore Google Docs, science looked at seeds and in social studies they explored needs and wants.  In math we worked on double digit addition and subtraction problems.

·      Please make sure your student is reading 30 minutes a night. I have sent home a calendar for you to mark their steps.  If they read more than the 2 required steps, just put the total steps on that date and then sign.
