Do you have what it takes to be a homeroom parent?
Of course you do!! The role of the homeroom parent is to support and assist your child's homeroom teacher as that teacher sees fit, while working within guidelines set by the Weatherly PTA and the Weatherly Area School District.
Responsibilities may include:
~Regularly attending PTA meetings, including a "homeroom parent training session." This session/ orientation will be held following an upcoming meeting in the MS LGI room.
~Communicate with your child's homeroom teacher on a regular basis.
~Contact homeroom PTA volunteers to ask for help.
~Communicate with the WASD PTA Officers.
~Communicate school policies to your classroom's volunteers.
Although some planning and organizaion is required, you will find the experience to be a very rewarding one, as you will be contributing to your child's and his/her classmate's school experience.

Who can join?
Did you know that "moms" aren't the only members of the PTA? That's right, any member of a child's family can join the PTA and contribute to the success of a child's school experience. In order to be eligible to participate in your child's school you MUST be a member of the PTA! This can be done in one simple step: Fill out a PTA membership form and retunr it to the school with payment of PTA dues. That's it!!!
