As the principal I know I have the best job in the whole world! Everyday I get to come to work and work with the best staff, the best families, and best of all, the BEST children!

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I started teaching 5th grade in 1987 and eventually served as the K-6 elementary computer teacher/coordinator in the Forest Park School District in Crystal Falls, MI. In 1988, I received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Northern Michigan University located in Marquette, MI. I have been an elementary principal in the East Jackson Community School District in Jackson, MI, a 4K-4th Gr principal in the Marinette School District and joined the West DePere School District in 2007 with the opening of Hemlock Creek Elementary. The start of this school year, 2014-2015, will be my 28th year in education!

My husband Rob and I live in the West De Pere School District. I have two step-daughters Whitney and Kayla, who live in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area. It is fantastic being a grandparent to Mila who turned a year old in October.  I am an avid Green Bay Packer fan!  When I am not at work,  I like to travel, work on the computer, continue to learn new things and spend time with our Boxers Benelli and Diesel. I am proud to be part of the West DePere School District!

I graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education of Emotional Behavioral Disabilities. In 2004 I obtained my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.
My teaching career started in 1994 where I spent the first 4 years teaching Junior High students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities in Appleton. While I was there, I created and coached the first high school rugby team in Appleton which is still going strong 18 years later. In 1998, I worked in Algoma where I taught Middle school students with special needs for the next three years. Then in 2001, I took the opportunity to work with students with special needs in Early Childhood through second grade in the Luxemburg-Casco School District. In 2008, I became the first Four Year Old Kindergarten Director and Associate Principal at Hemlock Creek Elementary in the West De Pere School District. As each day passes I am becoming more and more a Phantom. Go Phantoms!
My wife Suzanne and I have been married 13 years. Together we are working to raise three wonderful children. There are two extremely beautiful girls Katrina and Kaylee who are 11 and 9 and one handsome little man, Tyler who is 6. This busy family also enjoys the company of a 5 year old English Setter – Lab mix dog named Popcorn.
Thank you to the West De Pere Community for making our transition to West De Pere a successful one.
