Welcome to the Broughton Global Studies Magnet High School International Baccalaureate Programme website!

Located in the heart of Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, USA, Broughton is the most historic high school in Wake County. In 1929, Broughton began a tradition of excellence that continues to the present. Since 2003, Broughton students have benefited from the International Baccalaureate program, which emphasizes global understanding, interdisciplinary learning, and authentic assessment. Broughton inspires students to be thoughtful, reflective, service-minded citizens who enjoy learning and contribute to the local-to-global community. We are proud to offer the benefits of a large, comprehensive high school combined with diverse opportunities for students to find their niche, form lasting friendships, and engage in academic, athletic, and artistic endeavors.
