Monday
  • Seniors: if you do not plan on participating in the 2017 graduation ceremony on June 10th, please stop by the main office or student services to get a non-participation form. You must fill one out if you do not want to walk in the ceremony.
  • Seniors: the graduation meeting and picnic will take place Friday 5/26. An announcement will be made at 9:30 that day to have all seniors come to the auditorium for the meeting. Please make sure you are in attendance, as important graduation information will be shared.
  • Students participating in the Baccalaureate Service on June 3rd must dress in Graduation attire.
  • Anyone interested in Student Government- elections for Class Officers will be held May 30th. Applications can be found in student services and on the Middle Creek SGA twitter page and are due Wednesday May 24th. Campaigning will be from now until May 30th and the winners will be contacted after the 30th.
  •  The MCHS Dance Club will hold a meeting on Wednesday May 24th for a fun dance session! Meet in room 3326 after school.  
  • Registration for summer driver education classes has ended with all classes FULL at Middle Creek. No new summer registration forms will be accepted. Most others schools in area are full also. Please go to www.jordandriving.com to check for any available seats at other schools and your form to that school. Notifications of class assignments and payment requests have gone out. Registration for the fall school sessions will not take place until the beginning of the fall school year. Thanks for your patience.
  • There will be a job fair for students interested in obtaining employment during all lunches in the media center on Thursday, May 25. Please come with your resume and be prepared to interview.
Tuesday
  • Are you interested in joining the Winning MCHS Cheer Team. There will be a short interest meeting before school or after school on Thursday. Please come to either one for important information. Come to Coach BAM's room 2220
  • Seniors - its the last week to turn in your scholarships. You have almost reached $9,000,000. Athletes - turn in your scholarships too. Please turn these in.
  • There will be a men's soccer interest meeting Wednesday May 24th in the gym at 2:30.

Wednesday
  • There will be a Cross Country interest meeting Friday morning at 7:10 in the Media Center. Anyone interested in running should attend this meeting.
  • The girls tennis interest meeting is on Tuesday May 30th at 2:20 in mobile 1. All girls interested in playing tennis next fall must attend.
  • Attention rising juniors and seniors, if you are interested in volunteering for the Freshman Orientation, fill in the registration form posted on the MCHS website. See Mr. Scialdonein room 426 with any questions
Thursday
  • Students who have signed up to take AP Calculus next school year have a summer assignment to complete. There are copies on Ms. Taylor's door room 8407 and is available on Ms. Taylor's Canvas site also.
  • A Volleyball interest meeting for the Fall 2017 Season will be held Thursday June 1st at 2:30 in Room 3326. If you have any questions please see Coach Henderson.

Monday
  • Limited number of yearbooks are still available. If you would like to purchase one, please go to room 228. Checks only payable to Herff Jones for $75.00.
  • Come and join the MCHS dance club tomorrow for a fun and exciting new routine! We will me meeting in Room 3326 afterschool. Please bring comfortable clothes to dance in. See Miss Henderson or Miss Pollack with any questions.
  •  There is a NHS meeting Thursday May 18 in the commons. NHS members, be sure to submit your service hours via the google form sent to you via email and remind.
  • Mu Alpha Theta, Math Honor Society, will have their last meeting of the year this afternoon at 2:30 in room 8407.
  • On Friday, May 19 at 7:00AM there is a wrestling interest meeting for all those wanting to wrestle during the 2017-2018 school year. Summer workouts will be discussed. If you cannot attend, stop by Mr. Allen's room (308) to pick up paperwork.

  • Attention all Middle Creek students. You are all creek crazies at this point. Today's game will be a white out! Game starts at 7pm, tickets are $7.00, your passes will not work. Our athletes deserve a huge crowd. Take your mind off the stress of school and cheer on your mustang lacrosse team.   
Wednesday
  • Attention all Middle Creek students. You are all creek crazies at this point. Today's game will be a RED out! Game starts at 7pm, your passes will not work. Give our Lady Mustangs a nice big crowd as they take on Heritage.
  •   All of this years volleyball team members should meet in Coach Core's room 2320, right after school today for a brief meeting.
Thursday
  • Seniors - please turn in your scholarship letters this week to Student Services.

Monday 
  • There will be a meeting for all boys interested in basketball tomorrow morning at 7:00 in room 8101. We will be discussing team camp and summer workouts.

  • There will be a JV basketball team camp held this summer from June 27th – 30th. Camp will be $30 per player, rising 10th graders are invited. You must be eligible to play in order to attend Camp. Please make all checks out to the stampede club. If you have any questions or concerns please see Coach Oliver in room 2304. 
Wednesday

Monday
  • YEARBOOKS - will be delivered in Mid May - Please check the lists outside room 228 to see if you purchased a yearbook and any accessories! These are the lists of pre-orders! MAKE sure you are on there! For those wishing to purchase a book IF we have any left over, we will make that announcement later.
  • Are you interested in traveling abroad? During the summer of 2018 we will be traveling to England, France, and Spain for a 12 day tour. There will be an information meeting about this trip on May 4th at 6:00 pm in the media center. Please see Ms. Snead in room 3206 if you have any questions. 
  • Make sure you sign up for Mrs. Mitchell's AP Language and Composition exam review sessions! Go to https://tinyurl.com/LCCExamReview.
  • AP English 4 exam review will be held on during all lunches in room 3210 from April 24 through May 2. If you took AP English 4 Fall semester, plan to attend one lunch session.
  • Basketball workouts will be from Tuesday through Thursday of this week. Workouts start at 3:00 and end at 4:30, meet in room 2304 at 2:30. If you have not been cleared by Coach Oliver bring your physical and report card.
  • Anyone interested in Student Government- elections for Class Officers will be held May 9th-11th and an announcement will be made regarding voting. Applications can be found in student services and on the Middle Creek SGA twitter page and are due Friday May 5th. Campaigning will be from May 1st-May 11th and the winners will be contacted and announced after May 12th.  
  • Come see Middle Creek's theatre performers compete in a wild acting competition that will leave you laughing like a maniac! Theatre Sports is an improvised game show that tests performers' ability to think on their feet - with hilarious results! Head to the dance studio right after school on Friday, May fifth to see it. Again, this show has been rescheduled to Friday, May fifth after school in the dance studio.

  • All students taking the AP Statistics exam, please stop by Mr. Allen's room (308) to check out the review sessions posted. There are 8 dates. They will begin promptly at 2:30pm. You can contact him via email as well.
  • On April 26 at 6:30 pm in the Media Center, MCHS will host a session for students and parents titled "Personal Finance 101 Workshop: Teach
    Your Child to be Financially Fit" given by the Navigon Financial Group. Join us as we discuss strategies designed to help your students start out on
    the right “financial foot” as they enter college and transition to the workforce
    after graduation.

  • Students who are attending prom can pick up their prom ticket during their lunch on Wednesday, April 26 and Thursday April 27. Please arrive at the beginning of lunch or plan for enough time for pick up at the end of lunch because the line can get long; passes will not be given for tardies to class. Tickets can also be picked up on Friday, April 28 from 2:20 until 2:35 in room 3204.
  • Celebrate diversity at our Annual MCHS International Festival on Friday, April 28 from 6-8 pm in the Commons. This event is open to the community so all are welcome! There will be food, entertainment and games. Also don't miss the Film Festival at 2:30 in the Auditorium on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (April 25-27). We hope to see you there!
Tuesday
  • Basketball workouts will be held on today and tomorrow from 3:00 to 4:30. Meet in room 2304 at 2:30 after school. Bring physical and report card if you have not been cleared by coach Oliver. Workouts will be cancelled if the weather is not clear.

Thursday
  • Seniors - please turn in your scholarship letters to Student Services this week. The reporting deadline and awards night are rapidly approaching and we need the information.
  •  Feeling like a short road trip tonight? The Varsity men's lacrosse team is heading to Green Hope, come out to support those Mustangs, Game time 7:00. The last regular season games are tomorrow night at home against Apex-get your RED ready Creek Crazies!
Friday
  • Thank you to everyone who participated in spirit week and all of the third block classes who competed for the pizza party as well as all of the classes entered in the door decoration contest. The third block with the highest participation was Mrs. McGhee and the winner of the vacation destination door decoration contest was Coach Wray! Congratulations! Please let Mrs. Garrett know when you would like your prizes.

  • The Choral Boosters scholarship deadline has been extend to April 21. Please turn completed applications in to Mrs. Woynicz in Student Services.
  • The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be given at MCHS on Wednesday, April 19th. Interested students should see Mrs. Smith in Student Services by 1:00 on Tuesday, April 18.
Tuesday
  • SENIORS - The group Cap and Gown Photo will be taken at 9am on Monday the 24th in the gym. Seniors should plan to bring their caps and gowns with them to first period and be prepared to keep them in your possession until lunch. No one will be allowed to the parking lot to retrive or return caps and gowns. If you would like to purchase the panoramic photo, they are 15.00 and checks should be made to Lifetouch or have exact change on that day.
  •  If you would like to order prom pictures through Lifetouch please pick up an order form in the front office. Payment is due at the photo session.
  •  Final Call For Prom King/Queen Applications. These can be found in student services or the front office. The application is due this Friday to Mrs. Titus or Miss Henderson.

Monday
  • Are you interested in taking college classes at Wake Tech next year for free through the Career and College Promise Program? Any rising junior or senior who would like to learn more about CCP and be able to sign up for Wake Tech classes must attend an Information Session. MCHS will host a regional information session on April 5 in the auditorium. Students must pre-register for this session online at ccp.waketech.edu.
  • Any rising juniors or seniors interested in participating in the Criminal Justice Cohort Program with Wake Tech should pick up an information sheet in Student Services. Students also must register to attend the mandatory Career and College Promise information session on April 5 at 6:30 at MCHS. Please stop by student services with any questions.
  • Writers! Do you wrote poetry, flash fiction, or music? The Middle Creek open mic is for you. Enjoy readings from fellow students and consider reading or performing your own work. Open mic night is at 6 on April 6 in the media center. All are welcome. There will be food. If you'd like to read, give your writing to Mr. Matteau in room 310 by Monday, April 3.
  • The Middle Creek Junior/Senior Prom will be held Saturday, April 29th. Any junior/senior interested in attending this year's prom must complete a prom form and have it turned in by Friday, April 7. All dues and fees must be paid in order to attend the prom. Dues can be paid online or on Thursdays in the commons during all three lunches. Student and guest forms can also be picked up in the front office or on Thursdays during all three lunches. If you are taking a guest to the prom this year, the cost is $50. Guest fees and forms can only be turned in on Thursdays in the commons during all three lunches. If you have any questions regarding the prom, please see Mr. Shipp, Mrs. Titus, or Ms. Henderson.
  • Attention seniors--cap & gowns will be delivered during all lunches April 5th & 6th. Only cash or money order will be accepted on delivery days for balances due. If you have not ordered your cap & gown you must do it online at www.highschool.herffjones.com
  • Spring Spirit Week begins next Monday! The spirit days are Mustang Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Jersey Thursday, and Character Day! Dress up to show off your school spirit and kick off spring break. Third block classes with the highest participation win a pizza party!

  • An admissions representative from Salem College will be here on Thursday, April 6th, during all lunch blocks.
  • Junior Achievement is offering tuition scholarships to attend a 6-day overnight camp at the Naval Flight Academy in Pensacola, FL. Each scholarship is valued at $1,250 and extends only to tuition to the Naval Flight Academy Camp. See Mrs. Smith in Student Services for more information.
  • The month of April is Autism Awareness Month! On Fridays in the month of April, show your support by wearing blue shirts, blue ribbons, or an Autism Awareness shirt. The students and staff in Room 220 and 224 will be wearing blue on the following Fridays: March 31st, April, 7th, April 21st, and April 28th.
  • Middle Creek Driver Education summer school registration program has begun. Priority registration is from April 1 – April 24, 2017. During the priority registration period, students are assigned to a class based on age, oldest to youngest. Students who register after April 24th are assigned to class on a first come basis as long as slots are available. Summer Registration forms can be found in Student Services or on line at www.jordandriving.com. Legible completed forms should be submitted to Student Services of the selected school or emailed to the lead teacher at the school selected. Schools, lead teachers and schedules are found on the back of the form. Each student must submit a summer registration form before getting assigned to a summer class.

All dues, fees, forms, and $50 guest tickets must be completed and/or purchased by the end of all three lunches Friday. The Prom Committee will have a table set up in the commons during all three lunches Thursday and Friday of this week. Forms and guest fees will not be accepted after Friday. If you have any questions, please see or email from your school account Mr. Shipp, Mrs. Titus, or Ms. Henderson.

  • The afterschool open mic scheduled for 6:00 in the media center on April 6th is cancelled.  Again, the after school open mic is cancelled.  See Mr. Matteau for more information.
Thursday

  • Seniors, the deadline for the Holly Springs Newcomers scholarship posted on February 10th has been extended until March 31. Also, as a reminder the deadlines for the State Employees Credit Union, Stampede Club, and MCHS Choral scholarships are rapidly approaching.
  • The MCHS fine arts departments present the spring musical! Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved songs alongside a hilarious and romantic story as well as some new characters, and surprising twists. Performances are Wednesday, March 29th at 4:00 pm, and March 30th - April 1st at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10.00, and are available through the theater website. Come cheer your fellow students at Cinderella! The student matinee on Wednesday will also have Rita's Italian Ice for sale in the lobby before the show, and tickets will be available at the door.   • The Middle Creek Junior/Senior Prom will be held Saturday, April 29th. Any junior/senior interested in attending this year's prom must complete a prom form and have it turned in by Friday, April 7. All dues and fees must be paid in order to attend the prom. Dues can be paid online or on Thursdays in the commons during all three lunches. Student and guest forms can also be picked up in the front office or on Thursdays during all three lunches. If you are taking a guest to the prom this year, the cost is $50. Guest fees and forms can only be turned in on Thursdays in the commons during all three lunches. If you have any questions regarding the prom, please see Mr. Shipp, Mrs. Titus, or Ms. Henderson.
  • Seniors, please turn your scholarship letters in to Mrs. Woynicz in Student Services regardless of whether or not you accept or decline it.
  • Are you interested in playing football next year? There will be a mandatory meeting for all students not participating in a spring sport on Wednesday, March 29th in the weight room starting at 2:30.
Tuesday
  • Attention seniors--cap & gowns will be delivered during all lunches April 5th & 6th. Only cash or money order will be accepted on delivery days for balances due. If you have not ordered your cap & gown you must do it online at www.highschool.herffjones.com.
Wednesday
  • Spring Spirit Week begins next Monday! The spirit days are Mustang Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, Jersey Thursday, and Character Day! Dress up to show off your school spirit and kick off spring break. Third block classes with the highest participation win a pizza party!  
Thursday
  • All students taking the AP Human Geography Exam on May 12 must turn in the transportation request form to student services no later than Friday, March 31. Please stop by student services with any questions regarding transportation for this exam day.
  • The Induction packets for National Achievers' Society (NAS) are due Friday March 31st. Please drop off your packet to Mrs. McCaskill in office 3203 during your lunch or afterschool.
  • All students taking the AP Statistics exam, please stop by Mr. Allen's room (308) to check out the review sessions posted. Review sessions will begin after spring break. There are 8 dates. They will begin promptly at 2:30pm. You can contact him via email as well.

  • An admissions representative from Shaw University will be here during all three lunches on Wednesday.
Wednesday
  • The admissions representative from Shaw University has rescheduled and will be here on Monday, March 27, during all three lunches.
  • Writers! Do you wrote poetry, flash fiction, or music? The Middle Creek open mic is for you. Enjoy readings from fellow students and consider reading or performing your own work. Open mic night is at 6 on April 6 in the media center. All are welcome. There will be food. If you'd like to read, give your writing to Mr. Matteau in room 310 by Monday, April 3.
  • Rising seniors, internship applications for the 2017-18 school year are due to Mrs. Smith in Student Services, this Friday, March 24.
  • The National Technical Honor Society meeting is after school today in the Auxiliary gym. Students should enter from the MCHS side.
  • Seniors, the deadline for the Holly Springs Newcomers scholarship posted on February 10th has been extended until March 31. Also, as a reminder the deadlines for the State Employees Credit Union, Stampede Club, and MCHS Choral scholarships are rapidly approaching.
Thursday
  • The MCHS fine arts departments present the spring musical! Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved songs alongside a hilarious and romantic story as well as some new characters, and surprising twists. Performances are Wednesday March twenty ninth at four o’clock, and Thursday through Friday, March thirtieth through April first at 7 o’clock. Tickets are ten dollars, and are available through the theater website. Come cheer your fellow students at Cinderella!

Monday
  • Are you interested in learning to dance or have been dancing for years? Come and join the MCHS dance club! We are meeting today after school in Room 3326. See Miss Henderson or Miss Pollack for any details.
  •  Do you know what Tuesday is? March 14, you know, 3.14? Its Pi Day! And to celebrate this number that goes on forever, we want to know how many digits of pi you know. Mu Alpha Theta - Math Honor Society will be at a table at lunch to hear how many digits of pi you know and if you can recite the most, you could win a sweet prize - maybe even pie!!
  • Attention all members of Sand Volleyball: There will be NO Sand Volleyball practice this afternoon due to weather. You can check in with Coach Core in room 2320 for updates on practice for Wednesday.
Wednesday
  • Juniors and Seniors that need to pay dues in cash or purchase a guest ticket to prom can do so this Thursday during lunch only or March 23, March 30, April 6 and 7th during lunch. Prom permission forms can be picked up at the lunch table as well or downloaded from the MCHS website. All prom forms and payments are due April 7th, NO exceptions.
  •  The Makeup ACT will administered on March 21 at 7:15 in the media center. All students needing to test will receive information from their 1st block teacher on Friday March 17. If you have questions please see Mrs. Penuel.
Thursday
  • Applications are now being accepted for the Note-in-the-Pocket Teen Board The purpose of this Internship is to:
    Encourage students who have a passion and heart for serving to become more active in local community service, develop community leaders, and support Note in the Pocket’s mission and program to meet the needs of Wake County students.

Friday
  • Kick off your weekend by coming back to school tonight! Men's Lacrosse will host the Fuquay Bengals tonight. Games start at 4:30 & 6:15...plenty of hot chocolate to keep you warm & a 3rd Quarter Candy Toss for the Crazies! Come out and support Men's Lacrosse! 
  • Seniors- Prom Queen and King applications are available in student services and the front office. Any senior who is interested in being on prom court can apply or you apply for a friend. All aplications are due back to Mrs. Titus or Ms. Henderson by April 7th.
  • Prom Council will have its next meeting on March 31st, the meeting should be brief.  
  • The lady Mustang lacrosse team continued on their winning streak dropping Apex Friendship last night 15-5 at home. Bringing the mustangs record to 6-0. Leading the stampede on offense was Cailin Cardillo with 6 goals, Sam Caputo with 5 Goals, Megan Marschewski and Kiley Adamson with 2 apiece. The defense did an outstanding job making a late game stand being down 2 players and holding off Friendship to not get a shot on goal. Our defense was led by Seniors Lexi Baird, Maddie Dahlgren, Jordan Murray and Sydney Hughes and AC Riesett our fantastic goalie. Great job Mustangs. Our JV also took another win last night against Friendship with a score of 8-3.
