Welcome to summer! Now is a wonderful time to dive into those books you've been wanting to read and to discover new books and authors.  As you read and chose books to read, keep an eye out for... 

Mirrors: "How does this story reflect my own story?"

Windows: "How does this story help me understand the experiences of others?" and 

Sliding Glass Doors :"How does this story help me to grow in empathy and understanding of the human experience?"

Our recommendations (linked in the menu) offer many opportunities for exploration, but don't stop there. Ask with friends, family, librarians and booksellers for their recommendations, too. Making connections with others around books enriches all our our reading experiences!

The books that you will be discussing this fall in your English classes (lists linked in the menu) are best read in August, so they will be fresh in your mind for discussion.
