Goal: Learn how to code a web page using HTML.

Part I - Video Tutorial
When you are done, please raise your hand!



Part II - Enhance Your Page!
  1. Photos: Insert at least 2 more photographs of Earth that were taken from outer space
  2. Links:  Insert at least 2 more links to science web sites about Earth
  3. Paragraph: Insert at least 1 new paragraph (of 3 sentences or more) about facts about Earth
  4. Font Color: Change of ONE word in the new paragraph
  5. EMAIL it to your teacher as an attachment

Part III - Second Page on Book
  1. Watch THIS VIDEO to get started!!!  (alternate link)
  2. All on your own, without any copying/pasting, create an HTML web page about your favorite book OR a book that you know a LOT about.
  3. Paragraphs: Write at least 3 paragraphs of at least 3 sentence each about the book
  4. Photos: Insert at least 3 photographs
  5. Links:  Insert at least 2 links to web sites
  6. Colors: body color, paragraph color, and color three words (that aren't touching each other)
  7. Heading: the heading, in the body of the page, should have the title of the book
  8. Horizontal Rules:  one above the paragraphs; and one below the paragraphs
  9. EMAIL it to your teacher as an attachment

Part IV - Third Page on Movie
  1. Follow all the directions above for the Second Page, but this time, make the page about a movie.
  2. It could be your favorite movie, or just one you've seen often, or recently.
  3. Must be rated G or PG or PG-13.


Part V - Fourth Page on ??? (Free Choice)
  1. Follow all the directions above for the Second Page, but this time, make the page about ??? (free choice!)
  2. Here are some thoughts to get you started:
    1. Favorite App, Video Game, Computer Program, Etc
    2. Favorite Day of the Year
    3. Favorite Sports Team
    4. Favorite Place to Visit (or Place You Want to Visit)
    5. Tacos
    6. Mars
    7. Llamas
    8. Electrons
