The United States of America is a country of many stories and cultures.  People in the United States can trace their roots back to many countries, states, cities and towns.  Our neighbors, friends and classmates represent many cultures too.

The United States also has many global friends and neighbors.  With the increase in technology and communication, global connectivity has increased, and today, more than ever before, it is important for children to recognize their country's history as well as the stories and cultures from countries around the world.  This knowledge serves to broaden students' world view as well as build understanding and knowledge of our global society.

Please use this website as a guiding resource as you learn about immigration and cultures from around the world. Take a look at this blog post description of the culminating past projects too so you know what to expect. Also if you come across additional resources or related learning experiences, please let us know.  Thank you.
