The Wautoma Area School District is committed to equal educational opportunity for all students in the District. It is the policy of the Wautoma Area School District, pursuant to Section 118.13, Wisconsin Statutes, and PI 9, Wisconsin Administrative Code, that no person, on the basis of sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability, may be denied admission to any school in this District or be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extra-curricular, pupil services, recreational or other programs. This policy also prohibits discrimination under related federal statutes, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (race and national origin), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (sex) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Handicap).

It shall be the responsibility of the District Administrator to examine existing policies and develop new policies where needed to ensure that the Wautoma Area School District does not discriminate pursuant to federal and state law. The District Administrator shall ensure that an employee is designated annually to receive complaints filed under Section 118.13, Wisconsin Statutes, PI 9, Wisconsin Administrative Code, Title IX of the Education Amendments and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. That employee shall assure adoption of a complaint procedure to resolve complaints alleging violation of these laws, assure that an evaluation of the District’s compliance with Section 118.13, Wisconsin Statutes is completed every five (5) years under PI 9, Wisconsin Administrative Code and Form PI-1197 to the Department of Public Instruction annually.

Culver Family Kindness Scholarship 2017 - $250  - Available to a graduating WHS Student who will be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year post-secondary school

STATE SCHOLARSHIPS

Career Cruising and Method Test Prep High School Scholarship - up to 4 - $1000 - Available to High School Seniors

American Legion Scholarships - Variety of scholarships available

American Legion Riders District 8 Scholarship - 2-$1000 - Available to one high school senior boy and one high school senior girl.  Must be a son, daughter or step-child of a veteran or active duty service member

WEAC Scholarship - up to $1,450 per year for 4 years - Available to high school seniors planning to enter the field of education and whose parent(s) are a WEAC member, retired member or died while a member

ACT Student Champion Award - $500 - Available to a high school senior who has a composite ACT score of a 22 on a single test date

NHS Scholarship Program - All NHS senior members in good standing are eligible to apply. Eligible members must request application procedures from their NHS adviser.

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Elks National Foundation Scholarship - up to $50,000 - Available to High School Seniors
