The Social Studies and English Departments are proud to nominate BreeAnn Wood for Student of the Month. Bree's commitment to her academic progress is nothing less than impressive. As a Speech Communications student, she, like many others, entered class feeling anxious and dreading the public speaking experience. However, Bree continues to overcome her fears with each speech she delivers. Time and again, she has proven to be a self-motivated individual who readily accepts constructive criticism in an effort to improve.
Equally, Bree actively works toward her post-graduate goals. To complement her passion for the culinary arts and better prepare for the future, Bree recently did something most students would not even consider. This young lady who once cringed at the thought of public speaking took it upon herself to apply and interview for a position as a kitchen assistant right here at WHS. We are thrilled to report that Bree landed the position! Not only will this be her SECOND part-time job, but she is also paving her own way toward many more future successes.
