Chain Reactors

To ignite a chain reaction of kindness and compassion and create a positive permanent culture change in our schools.

We accept the challenge to:
    1. Look for the Best in Others
    2. Dream Big
    3. Choose Positive Influences
    4. Speak with Kindness
    5. Start our own Chain Reaction.

The Parkside Chain Reactors is a group of Middle School Students who are dedicated to promoting kindness. Our organization started in the fall of 2012 after the Middle School students listened to a speaker from the called Rachel's Challenge Organization. The presentation was about a girl named Rachel Scott who was big on being kind to all those around her. Unfortunately her life was taken early during the 1999 Columbine School Tragedy.  Before Rachel died, she wrote a paper called "My Life, My Code of Ethics's" in which she explains the power of one act of kindness can turn into a chain reaction. If we keep passing on acts of kindness the world will be a much more peaceful and loving world. With this in mind, we decided to call ourselves the Chain Reactors. It is our mission to find ways as a group and individually to spread kindness throughout our schools and families.
