Carol Wilson is named 2017 Don's Auto Group Educator of the Year

Mrs. Carol Wilson, a WPS Teacher, was recently selected as the Don’s Automotive Group Wauseon Educator of the Year for 2017. Carol’s selection was announced at the district’s end of the school year staff recognition ceremony.  She will receive a monetary gift and the district will receive a $500 donation to be used towards a specific project at WPS.

Mrs. Wilson has served the students of Wauseon Exempted Village Schools for 33 years. She is currently a WPS Teacher for a First Grade Classroom.

Carol clearly represents the attributes that were considered in nomination process, which include:

Special classroom skills and support

• Additional community services

• Is always an outstanding role model

• Unique teaching techniques that have had extraordinary effects on students

The district would also like to thank the many students, parents and community members who nominated other staff members for the 2017 award.
