Just a reminder that there is no school on Mon. February 18th (President's Day)
Spring Picture Day is coming! February 22, 2019
ATTENDANCE T he responsibility for ensuring that students attend school is that of the parents. Students who are not in attendance or who are tardy lose large quantities of instructional minutes, and therefore fall behind academically.
Wauseon Exempted Village Schools follows the guidelines established by House Bill 410 and the Fulton County Truancy Procedures for student attendance.
When a student has a substantiated history of truancy, the parents / child may be referred to the Fulton County Attendance Officer and / or an Absence Intervention Team (AIT). In order to comply with the Missing Child Act, it will be necessary for parents to contact the school between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 any day that their children are absent. This can be done by a phone call, a personal visit to the office, or a note sent with a brother or sister. |
