I am very happy to join the World Language Department at the Watertown Public Schools and look forward to my first year teaching Spanish to Kindergarten students. The Spanish lessons will have a focus on oral development and your child will receive Spanish instruction every day for 30 minutes. Through music, arts and crafts, movement and simple conversations, they will explore and learn the Spanish language. It is my hope that students will find it fun and exciting to learn a new language and become familiar with some Latin American cultures. I created a blog (http://senoragerena.blogspot.com/) to give you an opportunity to become familiar with our songs and explore a few videos and games to practice Spanish at home with son/daugther. I find that it is also a good way to keep you informed of the activities that I will be doing in the classroom.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas or concerns. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to an exciting year!
