I was born in Warrington, England and I moved to the United States when I was 18 years old. I have lived in St. George since 1984 (when my husband began teaching at Dixie High School), and I have been teaching in Washington County since 1994. I taught at Pine View High School for 14 years, and I now teach at Desert Hills High where I teach Honors English 10, AP English Literature, and reading.
I love teaching, learning, reading and travelling with my husband. We have been to many countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas, including China, Tibet, Morocco, Spain, England, Poland and Italy. We also enjoy riding the backroads of Utah on our motorcycle.
I have three grown children (James, Ryan and Chelsea), four grandsons (Adam, Ian, Isaac, and Miles) and three granddaughters (Lily, Gemma and Olivia). My husband is currently principal of Dixie Middle School, my son James is a Title 1 Coordinator at Coral Cliffs Elementary School, my son Ryan is a professor of English Literature at Oklahoma State, and my daughter Chelsea has a degree in English education.
