Prom/After Prom Information

5-18-2020 Update

After Prom Update: The school has announced they are looking at June 19 or July 10 for Prom / After Prom. Registration forms have been updated and posted on FaceBook assuming the June 19 date. You can use one of these or your old form if you still have it. The new registration dates are: Early Registration fee of $25 per person to be turned in before 5:00 PM, June 5. Late Registration fee of $35 per person will be after 5:00 PM on June 5. Forms to be dropped off to Kim Malichky at the Hy-Vee Pharmacy. Please reach out to Susan with any questions at susan.vanosdol@yahoo.com.
If you have already registered from the original date, you do not need to register again. If you have already registered and want to cancel your registration and receive a refund because you are unable to attend on the new date, please let Susan know by May 31 or she will assume you want your registration to remain intact.
Don't forget you have the option to order an after prom t-shirt. The order form and pic of what they look can be found on FaceBook. These orders are due by June 5. No late orders allowed due to time-frame required to order and get them back in time.

4-21-2020 Update

Message from the Post Prom Committee:

Washington High School is working to find a date this summer for prom/after prom and graduation. This will depend on the state's restrictions by the governor at that time. For those of you who have registered for after prom or purchased a shirt, I have not deposited any of the checks or cash payments yet. I am waiting until I know this is going to happen before I do. I realize this is a time that could be a financial hardship for some. If you have registered and would like me to return your payment so you have the money now, please let me know. You could re-pay at the same price if it gets rescheduled. If there is a new date scheduled I will post new dates for early and late registration amounts. If you don't need the money at this time I will continue to hold it until we have a definite answer. Please message me (Susan Van Osdol) through FaceBook or email if you need to arrange getting your money back now. Please stay safe. Blessings to you all.

Update 4/2/2020 Prom / After - Prom Update:

They have changed the date for prom to May 9 on the school activities calendar. This is obviously subject to change if we continue to stay out of school past the end of the month. In the meantime:
WE ARE EXTENDING THE EARLY REGISTRATION ($25) DEADLINE TO FRIDAY, APRIL 24. THIS IS THE SAME DAY T-SHIRT ORDERS ARE DUE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORDERING ONE OF THE AFTER PROM T-SHIRTS. I WAS ABLE TO PUSH THE T-SHIRT DATE OUT SINCE WE FOUND OUT BEFORE THE PRIOR ORDERING DEADLINE OF YESTERDAY.

In the meantime, we need to continue gathering registrations to be able to plan for the after prom event. I am including the registration forms that were in the office if your child did not pick one up already. If you can’t print the forms in this post there are blank forms available with Kim Malichky at Hy-Vee Pharmacy.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND TO SCHOOL AS FORMS STATE - Registrations could be dropped off to Kim Malichky at the Hy-Vee Pharmacy or mailed to Susan Van Osdol (1314 Woodland Ct. / Washington).

The forms include details for early and late registration deadlines (IGNORE THE EARLY REGISTRATION DATE ON THE FORM. IT IS NOW APRIL 24). You also have the option to order a t-shirt. The shirt is optional but these orders need to be placed by April 24 to have them back in time for the event if held as scheduled. Please reach out if you have any questions.

We will hold on to the after prom registration checks and return them if the event isn't held. The shirts we will need to proceed if we want them in time so we will cash those checks regardless and order the shirts if a decision hasn't been reached by April 24. I have not deposited any checks received thus far.

Please help spread the word.

Stay safe and healthy. Blessings to everyone as we navigate through this time.
