The Warhawk coaches are looking forward to the upcoming spring season and dedicated to putting the best team possible on the field

Coach Darrell Blevins
                Coach Darrell Blevins enters his 8th year as Head Coach for the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk Baseball program. With 22 years experience in organized baseball at the college and high school levels, Blevins takes pride in helping the students and student-athletes of Jeff Davis make the most of their opportunity to receive a quality education as well as helping to foster a positive experience to the greatest competitive athletic environment that can be afforded.


                Along with being Head Baseball Coach, Blevins also serves Jefferson Davis Community College as a full-time Faculty member where he is an instructor of Computer Science for the Business and Social Science Department teaching Microcomputer Applications on both the Brewton, Alabama campus and the Atmore, Alabama campus. He also teaches Beginning and Intermediate Weight Training and General Conditioning classes for the Nursing, Allied Health, and Physical Education Department  of the college.


                A graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery, Blevins received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He would later pursue and receive a Master of Business Administration from Troy State University in Montgomery. 


                Extremely proud of his former teams and team members, Blevins is proud to have the majority of his past team members move on to pursue their 4 year degrees and many currently pursuing higher degrees at the Graduate level. In addition to so many former players pursuing and obtaining their degree, over 30 former players have been presented with the opportunity to play baseball at the next level, including NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA levels.


                Blevins is happily married to his wife of 13 years, the former Denise Williams of Enterprise, Alabama. The couple have two children; Kyle age 9 and Craig age 7.

Coach Ben Green
            Coach Green is entering his 2nd year of coaching at Jeff Davis, where he was a former player from 2005-2007. Green was previously coaching at the high school level since 2008.
             While working to complete his bachelor degree in Exercise Science at the University of West Florida, Coach Green began his coaching career at West Florida High School in Pensacola, Florida. After a one year stint as the head Junior Varsity coach at Navarre High School, he returned to West Florida High where he served as the head Junior Varsity coach as well as a varsity assistant coach. Upon his return to West Florida, Coach Green also served as an Algebra, Geometry and Chemistry teacher, as well as an outside linebacker coach for the football program.
             Coach Green is currently working to complete his masters degree in Exercise Science at the University of West Florida. Coach Green will serve as an infield / hitting coach and looks to have positive impact on the bright future of the Warhawk baseball program.
