Kia ora from Rimu class. We are 25 cheerful, creative and enthusiastic learners from a diverse range of backgrounds from as far afield as Botswana, South Africa, Samoa, the Phillipines and Scotland, to those of us with Maori and European settler roots. Every child in Rimu is unique, but we all share a passion to learn and the desire to become excellent at whatever it is we do, both within and outside the classroom. Family/whanau - please feel free to call in to Rimu class, where you will find us working hard in our literacy, numeracy and other curriculum learning areas.
As year five and six students, we are the seniors of the school. We have a range of roles and responsibilities, which includes PALs and Student Council, among other opportunities which will enable us to become young role models in our present learning environment, and leaders of the future.
We hope that you will follow our stories and adventures as we aim high, and persist, on the way to achieving our goals on our learning journey in Rimu this year.
