  • Welcome to 5th Grade! Join us for Curriculum Night August 30. We are excited to have begun the 2017-2018 school year! We have a lot going on as we build our mini society and establish procedures in our classes. We look forward to sharing information with you about the year ahead at our curriculum night.   • Hear ye! Hear ye! Living Museum is Coming! Mark your calendars for grade 5's Living Museum, the culminating activity for our study of Colonial America. We will put together our colonial village on Friday, February 10 from 10:15-11:15.

  • Grade 5 Supports Wounded Warriors Our first Market Day in December was a big success! The students were able to raise and donate a total of $2318.97 to the Wounded Warriors Project. Great job! Start thinking of ideas for Market Day 2 in May!

  • Market Day Raising Money for Microloans Our second Market Day will be held this Friday, April 22 from 10-11:30 am. The funds raised from this event will be put to use to fund microloans through the website kiva.org. Kiva is an organization that helps improve the lives of people around the world by providing small loans. We are particularly excited that, as the loans are repaid, we will have opportunities to re-lend the money over and over again.  The fifth grade students investigated loan opportunities to fund. From among the thousands of potential loans, students chose to support agriculture, education, medicine, small family businesses, clean water, and more.
