RESEARCH AREA
Mathematical optimization modeling, analysis, and design of algorithms for specially structured linear, nonlinear, and continuous and discrete nonconvex programs, with applications to transportation, location, engineering and network design, production, economics, and energy systems.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE AND PUBLICATIONS
Principal Investigator on 66 research projects sponsored by several agencies including the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Naval Surface Warfare Center, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, U.S. Department of the Interior, Association of American Railroads, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Highway Administration, U.S. and Virginia Departments of Transportation, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Published 353 refereed articles (H-index = 83 and total citations = 43,568 including books, as of January, 2024).
