Exploring a Faculty Open Access Policy at Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech's Commission on Research (CoR) has decided to move forward with the drafting of a faculty Open Access policy. The Commission's OA Policy Working Group is charged with drafting policy language and providing updates to the Commission.  The Working Group is composed of Kevin McGuire (CoR, Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation), Ginny Pannabecker (CoR, Libraries), Cayelan Carey (Biological Sciences), Tom Sanchez (Urban Affairs & Planning) and Philip Young (Libraries).  Contact us with your questions and comments at openaccess@vt.edu.

Outreach to faculty began in the spring of 2017 and is ongoing.  So far the presentation (slides, updated 2/1/19) has been given on the dates below, and can be given upon request to departments and other faculty groups (email openaccess@vt.edu).
