Welcome to Van Meter

My name is Stacy Peterson, and  this is my 17th year teaching at Van Meter. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.    I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a dual teaching degree for both Early Childhood and Elementary. I also have a Literacy Minor which includes K-6 Reading and K-6 Language Arts endorsements. Before attending UNI, I actually went to school at Van Meter from kindergarten to 12th grade.  I live in Van Meter with my son Christopher, our cat, Chloe and Cookie, our dog. I love Van Meter because of the small community and the sense of family that comes with small towns.
