This year at Dynamic Landscapes we encourage educators to bring students as a part of their presentations.  How do we include and encourage authentic student voice in their learning?  We are inviting individuals or small teams (including students*), to offer 1 hour sessions.  Formats include presentation, guided conversations, panel discussions, facilitated workshops, or Q&A sessions.

We are especially interested in topics including:

  • Personalized Learning -  Proficiency Based  Programs
  • Social activism / Civic engagement
  • Equity, diversity
  • ISTE/AASL Standards Related Implementation
  • Evolving Role of Teacher and Student
  • Role of LMS - How is it changing learning?
  • Assessment in PLPs and Proficiency Based Graduation Requirements (PBGR)

In addition, we are also soliciting presentations for strands

on the following topics of general interest:

  • One-to-One Issues and Discussions, FAQ, Practical Solutions
  • PowerSchool Users Discussion
  • CTO andTech Leadership Challenges
  • STEM, STEAM, and Maker Learning - NGSS/Math Links
  • Cool / New Tools
  • Leadership and Systems Change 


Proposals: The workshop title and workshop description are key in attracting people to your session.*
Deadline is February 8th, 2017 

If you would like to submit more than one proposal, submit them separately.
We recommend that you write your proposal in a doc first, proof it, then copy it into the form.

*VITA-Learn reserves the right to edit write-ups.


Notes:
Presenters receive one complimentary admission per workshop for the day of the presentation. Co-presenters must register as a regular attendee.

        • There must be 1 registered adult accompanying every 4 students.
        • Student lunch options include the Champlain College cafeteria ($12) or on your own.
        • There is no additional registration for students.
