Hello!  My name is K. Scot Reynolds and I am the interim, part-time Superintendent of VIT CUSD #2. I am a second generation educator; my father served 35 years in the Maroa-Forsyth School District.  I have a total of 35 years service in the field of education. I have served Decatur District #61 for a total of 21 years, Warrensburg-Latham for 5 years, and Spoon River Valley School District #4 for 9 years.  I have served in the roles of High School Science Teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal during this time frame at all of these respective districts.  I retired from full time status on July 1, 2017 after 9 years as superintendent of the Spoon River Valley School District.

I have been married to my wife Denise since 1981.  She serves in the capacity of a part-time physical therapist at Graham Hospital.  We have two adult children.  My son Brandon is currently a  High School Science teacher in the Leroy School District. He has 7 years of teaching experience and formerly taught at Fulton County District #3 (Cuba).  My daughter Rachel has 5 years of teaching experience and is an  Middle School ELA teacher in the Dekalb School District.  Previously, Rachel taught as a Middle School Teacher at West Central School District #265.    As you can see, our entire family has a very strong commitment to the field of education.
