Kapiti Chamber Choir

The Kapiti Chamber Choir was founded in 1992, to provide an opportunity for singers to enjoy singing together, and performing for others. We are a welcoming group with a wide age range: from senior high school to post-retirement. Some ability to read music is expected, and there is a low-key audition process for joining the choir. Over the years our Music Directors (Professor Peter Godfrey, Dr. Guy Jansen, Stuart Douglas and the present Director Eric Sidoti) have stimulated and encouraged the choir – and audiences – with music from a wide variety of periods, countries of origin, and styles.

Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.30 pm at Raumati Uniting Church Hall, corner Raumati and Weka Roads, Raumati Beach

The choir usually performs three concerts a year – April, July and November, with a winter recess between mid-July to September.
