Welcome to 5th grade ELA!
I'm Mrs. Mills and I teach 5th grade English Language Arts. I have been teaching for 32 years.
I have three daughters. My oldest daughter is an associate editor of a gardening magazine. My middle daughter is a labor and employment attorney. My youngest daughter is a senior at Kent State University, studying Hospitality Management and will be graduating at the end of the fall semester.
I have two dogs, Athena and Brutus, who run my house!
I love to read a good mystery and visit historical locations.
My philosophy about teaching and learning is the following:
Students come to school to learn and I want to provide the best environment and opportunities for that to happen.
