Team NW

Venture Farm just got back from two weeks in Wilsonville, and we had a great time! We won countless championships and many top placings in the big classes, and also learned a lot and spent great times together. It was a wonderful show! Check it out!

Rose City Opener

Venture Farm had a fantastic horse show in Eastern Oregon last week. See our results here!

Wine Country

We just got back from a wonderful week in the sun! Results are now posted for the Horse & Hound Classic. Among other successes, Megan and Atlantis placed 5th in their first grand prix together! Check it out here!

Spring National

Venture Farm attended Spring National Hunter and Jumper week with great success. Natalie Kestle and new mount Au Revoir were Children's Jumper Champion and placed 4th in the Gambler's Choice. Rachel Pekala and Curious George placed second in the Gambler's Choice. We had four horses in the Grand Prix, and all of them were fantastic, with Megan and Top Shelf posting the fastest time in the jump-off for 3rd place! Safely back home

After a long and sunny circuit with many great successes, the Venture Farm crew has arrived back home safely! Check the results page to see how we did! Updated video will be posted soon.

Winter Circuit in the Desert

Venture Farm has arrived in Thermal, CA and successfully completed the first week of competition at HITS Thermal. The weather is great and the horses have been fantastic! Check back soon for results!

The year end results for the Open System of OHJA have been published, and Venture Farm ended up on top in the jumper divisions from 1.15m to 1.40m!

Sacramento International

Our trip to California this November was fantastic. We had two weeks of wonderful riding and competition, where everybody ended up placing extremely well in their classes! Read all about it here! Also, Zoe Conlee took her two horses down a week early for the Halloween Show. and had a great week. See how they did!

Remington- SOLD!

Congratulations to Lorraine Wilcox for the sale of Remington to Matt Bergeron! They will train with Steve Sanville at Trilogy Farms, and will be competing in the jumper ring next year. Good luck!


Congratulations to everyone at the Northwest Spectacular! Kimber Evers and Bohemio Z had a fantastic week and were named Team NW Circuit Grand Champions in the Jr/AO Jumpers! Megan won the Grand Prix on Lolita and placed 3rd on Top Shelf! Lisette Lejnieks and Footloose were Jr/AO Jumper Champion and won the USHJA Jr/AO Championship! Zoe Conlee and her horses Urian and Alboretto Wonderland had high placings in the Mini Prix as well as the USHJA Jr/AO Championship! Mata Evers and Quincy placed 8th in the Mini Prix and were the Low Jr/AO Jumper Champions! Natalie Kestle and Girls Night Out won the USHJA Low Children's Jumper Championship and were 1.0m Jumper Champions! Rachel Pekala on Curious George and Natalie Jacuzzi on Jezebel placed 5th in the USHJA Children's Jumper Championship and the USHJA Adult Jumper Championship, respectively. In the hunter ring, Megan and City Boy won the USHJA National Hunter Classic, and were Pre-Green Reserve Champion, as well as placing 2nd in the USHJA Pre-Green Hunter Championship! What a week!


We had a wonderful week of showing at the Oregon Summer Classic, placing first in both the $1,500 Mini Prix (Mata Evers on Quincy) and the $10,000 Team NW Classic (Megan on Top Shelf). Kimber Evers on Bohemio Z ended up 3rd, their best placing yet, and Lisette Lejnieks on Footloose made their debut in the $10,000 Team NW Classic. Team Venture Farm was particularly strong all week in the upper level jumpers where we took the 1.20m Jumper (Mata), 1.25m Jr/AO Jumper (Lisette), and 1.30m Jumper (Kimber) Championships, as well as the 1.15m Modified Jr/AO Jumper (Mata) and 1.0m Jumper (Natalie Kestle) Reserve Championships. Oh, Canada!

Megan rode Top Shelf to a fantastic 6th place in the $5,000 Open Welcome Classic! Kimber and Bohemio Z showed in the High Jr/AO Jumpers and was Reserve Champion! See more!


Laura Piccard sold Insignia to Janet Hischer in Arizona, where he will do the equitation and jumpers. She purchased a talented young jumper mare named Chantilly. Look for this pair next year in the Amateur jumpers.

Northward bound!

We showed this week at Evergreen Classic in Carnation, Washington. It was a successful week for all! Footloose was Champion 1.35m Jumper, Mata showed in the equitation on Insignia, and we had very good runs in the Grand Prix! Check it out!

Grand Prix Day!

Megan won first and second place on her two horses in the Country Classic Grand Prix, and rode Bohemio Z in a successful debut at the 1.45m level! Read all about it!

City Boy

Congratulations to Janey Belozer for the purchase of City Boy from Maplewood, Inc. He will show in the Pre-Green division and the Hunter Classics.

Living it up in the High Desert

Congrats to all for a fabulous two weeks in Bend! Megan had three top three placings in the Grand Prix classes. Zoe and Urian placed 4th in the $2500 Mini Prix, and tied for the Modified Jr/Amateur Jumper Championship. We also had a very successful two weeks in the hunter ring as well as the jumper ring, culminating in several championships and a top placing in the USHJA National Hunter Classic! Alboretto Wonderland

Congrats to Zoe Conlee on the purchase of Alboretto Wonderland, and good luck with him in the jumper ring as you move up through the levels!

Success Again!

Laura and Insignia had a fantastic showing in the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, and placed third overall, and second in the second round!
Kimber was Champion in the Medium Jr/AO Jumpers, Lisette was Reserve Champion, and Zoe was Reserve Champion in the Low Jr/AO Jumpers! Megan placed second and third in the $20,000 Team NW Classic on Lolita and Top Shelf! Results are up now!


We had a very successful week at the Oregon Trail Classic in Wilsonville. We had champions in the 1.25m Jr/AO jumpers and 1.20m jumpers, and Kennedy had a great first show on her new pony Southern Belle, winning Champion and Reserve Champion in her two divisions!

Venture Farm cleaned up at the Mother's Day Classic!

We just had a wonderful week at the Mother's Day Classic, culminating in eight horses showing in the Mini Prix and $10,000 Team NW Classic. All eight placed, and we won 1st and 2nd place in each class! Click here for more.

New Addition!

Congratulations to Kennedy Duke on the purchase of her new pony, Dancing in Lace, from Jacqueline Delgado. Dancing in Lace is a 6 year old large hunter pony mare. Kennedy will show her in the Short Stirrup Hunters! Good luck this year!


Congratulations to Shelley Smith on the sale of Adagio. He was sold to Christine Eberhardt of Ashland, Oregon. Derek Latty will train. We wish them good luck this year in the Adult Hunter divisions!

It's a Boy!

Congratulations to Becky Sancewich, who brought Owen Rhys Sancewich into the world on Wednesday, March 23, 2011! He is 20" long and weighs 7 lb 15 oz. What a joy! We look forward to having Becky and her baby boy with us!
