Black Gram Recipes

Below are recipes using black gram lentils.

Black gram has the ability to ferment. Black gram makes some recipes fluffy and if allowed to ferment, it gives the recipe a tangy taste (sort of like sour dough bread has a sour taste).

Whole Black Gram Fritters / Pancakes are the central part of the meal
Time to Soak: 30 minutes or more
Time to Eat: 20 minutes 
Ingredients: Whole black gram (see all the other names for black gram), tap water, salt.
Optional ingredients: Small diced onions or other veggies.
Tools: Blender and a frying pan.

Allow to ferment overnight (but you can eat immediately)

Optional ingredients: Diced onions or tomatoes or any other veggie you like.
