Lesson 9: Cooking safety lesson

After watching the short videos on how to put out a grease fire, let us know you watched the videos. "Got it" is enough. This is also a way for you to learn about submitting assignments.

Checklist for avoiding and managing a grease fire:

Never leave a frying pan with oil unattended.
If called away, TURN THE BURNERS OFF.
Have wet dishrags nearby.
Have lid nearby.
Have a box of baking soda nearby.
Have a fire extinguisher near the stove, like, under the sink.  
Take time to explain to children why they or the pets should not get underfoot. Share safety procedures.
