This artifact is a tureen. The artifact is most certainly a tureen. The artifact is made of porcelain, weighs around 15 pounds, has the resemblance of a curvy vase, and is about the size of a small bathroom sink. It was used for serving soups, or stews. Tureens are expensive, and that might’ve made it important to the owner. The archaeological themes that apply to the artifact are socio-economics, art, and diet. I chose those themes because, tureens are expensive, the floral design on the exterior, and they were/are used to serve food. |
