Welcome to my website; thank you for taking the time to visit. Please use the navigation bar on the left to find your way around. My Resume and Letters of Recommendation pages contain pdf files that are easily downloadable to your desktop. Take a look at my original and adapted lessons here. I've broken down the Common Core music standards here. Finally, my College Projects and MMEd Project pages show some of my favorite assignments I completed while getting my Masters degree.
I specialize in elementary general music, employing the Orff and Kodaly methods. I have been called amazing, inspiring, enthusiastic, creative, a team player, passionate, a great communicator, organized and prepared, dedicated, personable, professional, an excellent musician, and a valuable asset by my peers and mentors. Since I began playing trombone in 1981 - inspired by my elementary
general music teacher - I have led a life fueled by the creative
intricacies of music. And now, as a teacher, father, and mentor, I've dedicated myself to the mission of passing on my love for this revered art to children. I look forward to your email concerning any questions or comments.

Personal Teaching Philosophy
1. Everyone will be given the opportunity to learn.
2. Learning is an open-ended process that is a lifelong journey. A solid start must begin in childhood.
3. Inspiration comes in many forms and it the teacher's duty to explore every avenue of expression in order to create that spark of inspiration in the student.
4. The teacher must motivate the student into wanting to learn. From there the student can be a self-sustaining learner.
