VHS Educational Resource Library

Welcome! Our library is available as an outreach to homeschooling families in our community - regardless of membership in VHS.  We are in the process of entering all of our resources into a computer program that will help keep us more organized.  This will take a long time to complete as our library has been blessed with SOO many items - 34 bookcases full!!!  Our policies allow for checkout of items that are considered "curriculum" for the entire school year and need to be returned by June 30th.  Other items can be checked out for 3 months.   The library carries:  books, CDs, DVDs, VHS, games, flash cards, manipulatives, and more - even a few VCRs and an overhead projector!

WE'VE MOVED!  Our new location is inside The Vine Christian Fellowship, located at 3395 W College Ave in Appleton.

DONATIONS:  Update:  Spring 2016 - Due to our limited space right now, we are NOT taking donations.  The library does take donations anytime - and is primarily looking for non-consumable items from major homeschool publishers.  Things like Student Texts, Teacher Manuals, and Answer Keys are among the most popular.  Donations are tax-deductible, please let us know if you need a receipt when you make your donation.  If you donate any items that we can't use, we would include them at our book sale when we purge items from our inventory.
We are limited with our space, so we DO NOT have room to accept:
  • Magazines
  • Chapter readers, fiction books, or picture books
  • Non-fiction books that you can find at your local public library
  • Public School Curriculum (including Virtual Schools such as K12 and e-school)
  • General consumable workbooks like the kind you find at Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Office Depot, etc.
  • Flashcards (unless they go with a particular curriculum)
  • Date specific materials, such as old college prep info

If we do get items that we don't have space for or feel aren't needed, we will sell them at our periodic book sales and use the money to purchase the items that are highly requested.
