It is difficult to understand how some erroneous ideas about learning gain wide spread acceptance among educators, while some well substantiated ideas go unnoticed. This presentation contrasts several incredible ideas (myths) about learning such as brain-based learning and learning styles with credible ideas (research-supported) ideas such as test enhanced learning and the importance of prior knowledge.
