My name is Shih-Hsien "Johnny" Chuang.
I am currently an Associate Professor of Economics and MBA Coordinator at Northwest Missouri State University. I am also currently the Parliamentarian of the Faculty Senate.
I have two main research fields:
Public Economics
Industrial Organization
My research focuses using causal inference methodologies on empirical applications within these fields.
I have a special interest in the airline industry. More generally, I conduct research in applied microeconomics. Recently, I have developed agenda in public administration using Applied Econometrics.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, under the supervision of Dr. John E. Anderson in Summer 2018. My dissertation was on the US Airline Industry. I also received Ph.D.-level treatment in industrial organization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
