Our January 2015 TBI Community Forum

Thank you for joining us for an informative evening spent hearing about the experiences of caregivers to family members or friends with a traumatic brain injury (TBI).  Dr. Powell and her research team recently completed a study where caregivers used an educational and problem-solving approach to address caregiving issues. At this forum, Dr. Powell and Hye Kyong Jeong, Caregiver Consultant, presented the most common concerns faced by caregivers along with the use of problem-solving strategies and offered a lively discussion.

The Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center has come out with a Hot Topic Series that relates to Traumatic Brain Injury.  In their first series, they address the topic of "Relationships after TBI".

Here at the TBI Model System at the University of Washington, we had a great in person informational forum in February of 2013 on this topic.  This video addresses this important and dynamic issue with one couple.

Click here to be taken to the Model Systems Knowledge Translation Center's website and watch the Relationships after TBI video.
