CH 4: Kidney Transplant Cadaveric and Living

Kidney Transplant

There are two types of kidney transplantation: living donor and cadaveric, a kidney from someone who is not living any longer. A match must be found for someone to receive a kidney transplant.
Many times African Americans and other minorities don't get listed on the transplant waiting list. It's really important to get that work up done because you can't get listed on the transplant list unless you get the work up done.
