Born from a few GPAs discussing the need for support and development opportunities for graduate advisors, GPAA was created in 2015 as an official professional organization serving the Bothell, Seattle, and Tacoma campuses. The purpose of GPAA is to define a space for graduate and professional advisors to collaborate, facilitate the sharing of best practices in graduate advising, represent graduate advisors to larger constituents, and identify and implement areas for professional development.
