Adding an Agenda, Minutes

Add an agenda to the site

  • On the "Meetings" page, post an abbreviated summary of the agenda - much abbreviated: just enough to get the main topics across.  (And to hint that if you come 15 minutes early, you get to mingle and consume goodies.  See Revision History for examples, if you wish.)
  • Visit the Meetings Archive page...
    • Add an entry for the new date at the top of the list.
    • Create a new page for the detailed agenda.
    • Give the page a name using this format:   Agenda 2011-02-24
    • Check the box that says "Put page under Meeting Archives"
    • Click "Create page", which will leave you on the new page.  
  • Enter the agenda on the newly created page
    • Follow the format of previous agenda pages, but hey, it's your baby!
    • Save    ( ! )
  • Back to the Meetings Archive page...
    • Edit the page
    • Select the word "Agenda" next to the date, and navigate your way to the newly-created Agenda page, and create the link. 
    • Save    ( ! )
  • Back to the Meetings page...
    • Same routine as just above, to add a link so you can get to the detailed agenda from the abbreviated summary agenda.
  • That's it!  
(Unless you need to add attachments to the agenda....)
  • Add any Attachments that were distributed with the agenda...
    • Visit the detailed Agenda page.
    • Click on "Attachments" at the bottom of the page (this works even when you're not in Edit mode).
    • Upload the attachments, giving them a sensible name.
    • If you're so inclined, you could add a link on some appropriate spot in the agenda.

Add minutes to the site

  • Visit the Meetings Archive page...
    • Create a new page.
    • Give the page a name using this format:   Minutes 2011-02-24
    • Check the box that says "Put page under Meeting Archives"
    • Click "Create page", which will leave you on the new page.  
  • Enter the minutes on the newly created page...
    • Follow the format of previous minutes pages, but hey, it's your baby!
    • Save    ( ! )
  • Back to the Meetings Archive page...
    • Edit the page
    • Select the date of the meeting, and click the Link in the toolbar
      • navigate your way to the newly-created Agenda page, and select it. 
    • Save    ( ! )
  • Back to the Meetings page...
    • Same routine as just above, to add a link so you can get to the detailed agenda from the abbreviated summary agenda.
  • That's it!  
(Unless you need to add attachments to the minutes....)
