With the constant noise, endless choices and overwhelming flow of information, our overthinking minds can’t help but wander, analyse and replay every little thing. But we don’t worry, because we know there’s always a No-brainer around to balance us out. They remind us to take things lightly and live in the moment without second-guessing every step.
Despite our different ways of thinking, we somehow make the best of friends: one slows down to reflect, the other speeds up to move forward. Together, we remind each other that there’s no single right way to think or feel.
As seasoned overthinkers, we naturally think a lot about food. We always want the best for our stomachs. Sometimes it’s something healthy, other times, after all the overthinking has drained our energy, we crave something meaty or sweet (anything that tastes like happiness).
And now, it’s almost midnight, and we’re still overthinking what to have for dinner. But that’s okay, at least our minds are full, even if our plates aren’t.
“OVERTHINK” is a narrative illustration series that embraces and celebrates the often-stigmatised inclination to overthink. Made into a range of daily items including clothing, tea towels and greeting cards, the collection is a gentle reminder to ourselves that sometimes it’s perfectly okay to linger a little longer and indulge in overthinking, simply because we want to.
P.S. Don’t overthink why you overthink!
