The Director of Religious Education (DRE) is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and administering a holistic, transformative, inclusive, and vibrant Unitarian Universalist religious education program for all ages. Interviews begin in June 2012 and the position begins in Summer 2012 (September ideally.) This is a half-time, exempt position. The DRE will be required to work most Sundays, attend meetings and some church events.
plans and coordinates a religious education (RE) program in collaboration with
the Minister and RE Team.
trains, and supervises childcare providers and RE volunteers.
and manages the RE budget.
visibility or Provides exposure of
the RE program to the congregation and to the public.
and administers RE policies and safety standards.
develops and maintains dialogue with other Hawaii UU fellowships and other
duties as assigned by the Minister.

$16,000 to $20,800 annually plus benefits
