Sebastian Hoethker hoethker@utexas.edu
Sebastian was born in Bonn, where he later obtained his PhD under the supervision of Andreas Gansäuer while studying stereocontrolled, radical, intramolecular transfer reactions using low-valent Titanium complexes. He is a recipient of the Manchot Fellowship as well as the Feodor-Lynen Fellowship awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation that supports early-career researchers. He joined the Krische group in the winter of 2024 and is interested in plugging fundamental knowledge gaps motivated by streamlining natural product synthesis through the use of innovative, novel methodologies.
