Ph.D. Candidate, Atmospheric Sciences, The University of Texas at Austin, 2014.
Research Interests:
Qinjian's interests include: 1) Dust aerosol emission in western, northeastern China, and the Middle East, 2) dust aerosol's radiative impacts on biogenic volatile organic compounds using WRF-Chem model, and 3) the direct effect of aerosols over the Arabian Sea on the inter-annual variability of the Indian summer monsoon rainfall.

I am currently carrying out a PhD under the supervision of Dr. Zong-Liang Yang, at The Department of Geological Sciences, The University of Texas at AustinMy current research is focusing on the radiative impacts of aerosols over the Arabian Sea (mostly dust aerosols) on the inter-annual variability of the Indian summer monsoon rainfall.
