Derya Malak received her BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (with minor in Physics) at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in Jun 2010. She received her MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey, in Feb 2013, where she was a research assistant at Next-generation and Wireless Communication Laboratory (NWCL) between Feb 2011 and Jun 2013. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wireless Networking & Communications Group (WNCG) at the University of Texas at Austin. Her advisor is Prof. Jeffrey G. Andrews.
Her research interests are in the area of communication theory and networks, information theory and biological networks. Currently, she is working on Device-to-Device (D2D) communications and stochastic modeling of content caching.
