My first year as a high school student so far has been good.
Let's start with sports. I love playing basketball with my friends, but I hate the running part of it. I feel like anyone would hate running, but I'm not too sure about that anymore.
Football was also great. I loved every second of it, and even though we only won two games, it was still a great freshman year. The one thing I can't seem ever to like is how long our practices are. Our football practices were two to two and a half hours.
It’s the same way with our basketball practices, too. I think that basketball is way worse. It is so much more running than football. Unlike basketball, we got water breaks and got to sit down.
That is all I have to say about how much I hate physical activity.
Next, I want to get on my soapbox about classes. I dislike Business Applications, English 1, Algebra 1, and Current Events. There are so many reasons why I do not enjoy these classes. The reason I do not enjoy Business Apps is I do not find the work interesting or useful. I feel the same way about English and Current Events. Like, why learn about English when I speak it, and what is the point of Current Events when I have social media and the news? When it comes to Algebra, I wonder when I will ever use it, like when will I use linear graphs(except for college maybe) or any of it at all?
I mean high school is not all that bad. I get a lot more freedom than in junior high. I can drive to school, I mean, isn't that great? I also feel that high school is not as hard as junior high.
Other than that, my first semester of high school has been excellent.
